Small business funding, explained simply
BRIDGEVANTI connects small business owners with funding partners who can provide the funding they need. Working capital, equipment, a new location, or buying property: this guide explains each option in plain English, so you can apply with your eyes open.
Which type of funding fits your situation?
| You need to... | Options to look at | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Cover a short-term cash gap or a big order | Merchant cash advance, line of credit | Fastest options; usually the most expensive. Best for short-term needs. |
| Have money ready for slow seasons or surprises | Business line of credit | Draw only what you need and pay interest on what you use. |
| Buy a truck, machine or other equipment | Equipment financing | The equipment itself usually secures the loan. |
| Grow, expand or refinance with longer terms | Term loan, SBA loan | SBA loans often have longer terms and take longer to close. |
| Buy, build or refinance commercial property | Commercial real estate, DSCR, bridge, land and rehab loans | DSCR loans qualify mainly on the property's income. |

Frequently asked questions.
Is BRIDGEVANTI a lender?
No. BRIDGEVANTI connects you with funding partners who review your application and make the decision. BRIDGEVANTI doesn't charge you any fees for funding; we may be compensated by our partners for referrals.
What's the difference between a merchant cash advance and a loan?
A loan is borrowed money you repay on a set schedule. A merchant cash advance is an advance against your future card sales, usually repaid as a share of daily or weekly sales. Advances are often faster and easier to qualify for, and they typically cost more, so they fit short-term needs best.
What do I need to apply for business funding?
It depends on the type of funding. Most applications ask for recent business bank statements, basic business and owner information, and sometimes tax returns or financial statements. Real estate loans also look at the property. Your funding partner's application shows exactly what's needed for your situation.
Will checking my options hurt my credit?
No. BRIDGEVANTI never runs a credit check. If you decide to apply through one of our funding partners, they may do a soft credit pull, which doesn't affect your credit score.
Do you only work with businesses in Florida?
No. We're based in Tallahassee and work closely with businesses across North Florida, South Georgia and South Alabama, and we help owners nationwide.
